The Wests’ Baby Blog

Jake had his busiest weekend so far!!!  He met his Great-Gama, his great Aunt Ellen and his Great Uncle Jim.  He rode happily in his car seat more this weekend than in his entire first two months, he attended a rehearsal dinner, a wedding, two wedding receptions and went to his first restaurant.  He did leave all events early but was a trooper throughout the whole experience.  He is now taking longer naps and even enjoying time in his swing.  We have posted more pictures so make sure you check them out under the two months section.  Tomorrow he will have his two month check up and we will post any updates!!!!

Jake is one month old today.  We can’t believe it!  It seems like yesterday I was pregnant and other times it seems like we haven’t slept in two years!!  But it is wonderful and he is completely worth it.  Jake has grown so much and is able to lift and hold his head up, he is cooing and  he loves walks in his carrier.  Everyday he changes a little bit more and it is wonderful watching him grow.  We will be posting more pictures today under his first month.  Thanks for visiting!!!

Jake is doing great.  At his two week check up he weighed in at 9 pounds and 21 inches long!!!  Obviously he is eating well.  He is sleeping as good as we could hope for a newborn during the night.  He is getting stronger everyday and is able to lift his head up more and more.  He is even becoming more interactive and playing with some toys.  So, I guess what we are saying is that we think Jake is pretty much the smartest, strongest, most handsome little boy ever!!!!  Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and prayers - please keep them coming!  And, keep checking back for more updates, pictures and video of the little guy!
